DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Oleg Golosov ()\nAnisotropic flow at SPS energies wa
s measured by the NA49 Collaboration more than 10 years\nago. Recently new
data for Pb-Pb collisions were collected by the NA61/SHINE experiment\ndu
ring the Pb-ion beam energy scan program at the SPS. This motivated a new
analysis of the\navailable NA49 data\, based on modern flow measurement te
chniques that will also utilize the\nspectator fragments for reaction plan
e determination.\nThe new results on directed and elliptic flow in Pb-Pb c
ollisions at beam energy of 40 A GeV\nrecorded with the fixed target exper
iment NA49 at CERN SPS are presented. Event\nclassification is based on th
e multiplicity of produced particles as well as on the energy of the\nproj
ectile spectators using the procedure implemented within the Centrality Fr
amework\ndeveloped for the future CBM experiment at FAIR. To account for t
he azimuthal asymmetry of\nthe fixed target setup of the NA49 experiment\,
a three-subevent technique is used for the\ndetermination of the reaction
plane resolution. The reaction plane is estimated both from the\nazimutha
l asymmetry of the produced particles measured with the NA49 TPCs as well
as by\nusing the transverse granularity of the NA49 forward VETO calorimet
er. Corrections for the\ndetector acceptance anisotropy in the transverse
plane are applied using an extension of the\nQn-Corrections Framework deve
loped originally for the ALICE experiment at the LHC.\nThe results are com
pared with those previously obtained by the experiments STAR at RHIC\nand
NA49 at the SPS. The new study is complementary to the ongoing analysis of
the recently\ncollected Pb-Pb data of the NA61/SHINE experiment at the CE
RN SPS and provide an\nimportant reference for the performance investigati
ons for the future CBM experiment at\nFAIR.\n\nhttps://indico.particle.mep
