DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Sergey Reznikov (JINR)\nThe detectors based on solid
-state photomultipliers (SiPM) are proposed for\nforthcoming experiments p
lanned with relativistic heavy ions at FAIR\n(CBM) and at NICA (MPD).\nThe
main radiation damage of the detectors located along the beam axis is\nca
used by neutrons. The forward calorimeter PSD@CBM is equipped with\n SiPM
. The fluence up to 10e13 n/cm2 during first months\n of the CBM experime
nt at position of SiPM is expected.\n Therefore we have investigated SiPM
based 10-channel prototype of\n scintillation detector module produced a
t JINR by irradiating it with\n quasi-monoenergetic neutrons of peak ener
gy 32 MeV and fluence ~3*10e8\n n/cm2. Secondary neutron beam was produ
ced in the 7Li(p\,n)7Be neutron\n generator at the NPI cyclotron (Rez\, C
zech Republic).\n\n It is shown that the module electronics remains opera
tional\, but the\n noise of SiPM increased. We applied new method to moni
tor changes in the\n breakdown voltage without measurement of SiPMs I-V c
haracteristics. The\n method is based on measurement of the dependence of
Vpp and Vrms voltage\n on the bias voltage. The proposed method can be a
pplied for monitoring of\n changes in the breakdown voltage during the de
tector operation and does\n not require the usage of the additional equi
 pment.\n\nhttps://indico.particle.mephi.ru/event/4/contributions/549/
