 enforschung)\nThe size and evolution of the medium created in a heavy-ion 
 collision depends on collision geometry. Experimentally collisions are cha
 racterized by the measured particles multiplicities around midrapidity or 
 energy measured in the forward rapidity region\, which is sensitive to the
  spectator fragments. In the CBM experiment the multiplicity of produced p
 articles is measured with the silicon tracking system (STS). The projectil
 e spectator detector (PSD) is sensitive to spectator fragments. We present
  the procedure of collision centrality determination in CBM and its perfor
