DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Galina Bazilevskaya (Lebedev Physical Institute)\nDi
scussion about sources of energetic particles – solar cosmic rays (SCR)
 - emerging in the interplanetary space after an explosive energy release o
n the Sun lasts during more than 20 years. The main candidates for the SCR
sources are a Solar flare and a Coronal Mass Ejection (CME). Enormous num
ber of observational data is accumulated since 1942 when the SCR were obse
rved for the first time. Interpretation of experimental results is often a
mbiguous. This talk gives a very brief overview of the most convincing rec
ent observations that shed some light on the problem.\n\nhttps://indico.pa
