DESCRIPTION:Speakers: vladimir kekelidze (Joint Institute for Nuclear Rese
arch)\nNuclotron-based Ion Collider fAcility (the NICA project) is under c
onstruction at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR\, Dubna). Th
e corresponding experimental program includes a study of hot and dense str
ongly interacting matter in heavy ion collisions (up to gold) in the energ
y range up to√ s_NN = 11 GeV and an investigation of the nucleon spin st
ructure in collisions of polarized protons and deuterons at the energy up
to √ s = 27 GeV. Two experiments are in preparation to study heavy ion c
ollisions\, the MPD detector at the collider\, and experiment BM@N with ex
tracted beams. The nucleon spin structure will be studied with the SPD det
ector at the collider. Designed average luminosity of collider is 10E27 cm
-2 s-1 for Au(79+) and 10E32 for polarized protons. The proposed experimen
tal program allows one to search for manifestations of the phase transitio
ns and critical phenomena and shed light on the nucleon spin structure dyn
 amics.\n\nhttps://indico.particle.mephi.ru/event/4/contributions/657/
