DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Igor Moskalenko (Stanford University)\nFermi-LAT app
ears to be one of the most successful space telescope missions in history.
The Large Area Telescope (LAT)\, the primary instrument on the Fermi Gamm
a-ray Space Telescope (Fermi) mission\, is an imaging\, wide field-of-view
 \, high-energy gamma-ray telescope\, covering the energy range from 30 MeV
to more than 300 GeV. Since its launch in June of 2008\, it collected abo
ut 2 Petabytes of data\, made a number of spectacular observations\, and c
ontinues to deliver excellent science. I will talk about main results of t
he Fermi-LAT mission and its impact on other areas of astrophysics.\n\nhtt
