DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Masayasu Hasegawa (JINR\, BLTP)\nMonopoles and insta
ntons play crucial roles in understanding quark confinement and chiral sym
metry breaking in quantum chromodynamics. However\, their relationship rem
ains unclear. In this research\, we perform Monte Carlo simulations in lat
tice gauge theory to identify signatures of monopoles under the influence
of magnetic fields\, for example\, those generated in heavy-ion collision
experiments.\n\nIn collaboration with a research group at the University o
f Pisa\, we set the parameters for the quark masses to the physical pion m
ass and generate gauge field configurations with $N_{f}$ = 2 + 1 flavor qu
arks in SU(3). We apply a uniform external magnetic field to the configura
tions and vary its intensity.\n\nIn our previous study\, we reported on th
e influence of the external magnetic field on monopoles\, quark confinemen
 t\, instantons\, chiral symmetry breaking\, and the eta-prime meson mass u
sing these configurations.\n\nIn this study\, we define three contribution
s — abelian\, monopole\, and photon — and construct three types of con
figurations of the gauge fields corresponding to these contributions by su
bjecting the configurations to Abelian projection after transforming the m
atrices under the condition of the maximal Abelian gauge. These configurat
ions are prepared for both the quark confinement phase and the quark decon
finement phase.\n\nWe then calculate the low-lying eigenvalues and eigenve
ctors of overlap fermions using the configurations. The overlap fermion re
presents a quark formulation that preserves the exact chiral symmetry in l
attice gauge theory.\n\nFinally\, we demonstrate that monopole dominance\,
that is\, the numerical results of observables computed from the configur
ations of the monopole contribution\, reasonably agree with the results co
mputed from the normal configurations\, which are not transformed under an
y gauge condition\, even in the presence of external magnetic fields.\n\nI
 n my presentation\, I will present the preliminary results.\n\nhttps://ind
