DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Alexey Kudashov (Moscow State University Faculty of
Physics)\nRed-giant evolution is sensitive to non-standard channels of ene
rgy loss and therefore provides a probe of new physics.\nSuch losses incre
ase the luminosity of the tip of the red-giant branch\n(TRGB)\, enabling c
onstraints on the axion--electron coupling $g_{ae}$.\nIn this talk\, we pr
 esent cluster-specific stellar-evolution calculations\nwith MESA for 27 Ga
lactic globular clusters\, including the implementation\nof axion emission
and its impact on the predicted TRGB luminosity.\nParticular attention is
given to the assessment of theoretical uncertainties associated with ther
 mal-neutrino emission\, electron conduction\, radiative opacity\, nuclear
reaction rates\, convection\, and other modelling assumptions. We examine
how these theoretical uncertainties affect the predicted TRGB luminosities
and the resulting constraints on the axion–electron coupling.\n\nWe bri
efly outline the joint profile-likelihood analysis used to\ncompare these
predictions with TRGB measurements for 24 clusters\,\nafter excluding thre
e hot-flasher systems. Retaining shared\nuncertainties as correlated nuisa
 nce parameters\, we obtain\na 95% confidence-level power-constrained upper
  limit\nof $g_{ae} \n\nhttps://indico.particle.mephi.ru/event/626/contribu
