DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Svetlana Ingerman (INR RAS)\nComparison of energy sp
ectra of electrons and antineutrinos can help in understanding the mechani
sm of beta decay\, which is not fully clear yet. Measuring an antineutrino
spectrum from a known beta isotope requires an experiment with a large\,
high-resolution detector and a powerful source. Mirror symmetry can be che
cked by measuring the antineutrino spectrum and comparing it to the beta o
ne. Modern detectors of large volume allow to make this with a powerful en
ough source. The main challenge is obtaining a pure\, powerful source. We
propose to measure the antineutrino spectrum using a high-activity radioac
tive source of 90Sr-90Y (~1 MCi)\, located on the top of large volume dete
ctor\, for example the current JUNO experiment.\n\nhttps://indico.particle
