DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Nikita Fomichev ()\nA prototype for the BBC subsyste
 m was mounted at the Internal Target Station (ITS) of the Nuclotron/NICA a
 ccelerator complex and tested with ¹²⁴Xe beam at an energy of 2.2 GeV/
 nucleon. Two sectors\, each consisted of 8 scintillation tiles\, were test
 ed using with the full data acquisition system based on the FERS5200 elect
 ronics.\n\nThe study describes the data obtained in both trigger and trigg
 erless modes. The contribution of the detected nuclear fragments are clear
 ly identifiable on the energy deposition correlation histograms.  This res
 ult demonstrates the system’s efficiency and becomes an important step t
 oward the development of the BBC subsystem for the upcoming SPD experiment
