DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Vakhid Gani (NRNU MEPhI)\, Andrey Nikiforov (NRNU ME
PhI)\nWe investigate resonance phenomena in kink-antikink collisions in\n(
 1+1)-dimensional scalar field theories with higher-order polynomial\npoten
tials. Particular attention is paid to the mechanism of energy\nexchange b
etween the translational motion of the kinks and vibrational\nmodes of the
  kink-antikink system.\n\nNumerical simulations reveal a nontrivial depend
ence of the collision\noutcome on the initial velocity of the kink and ant
 ikink. In addition\nto kink–antikink capture and one-bounce escape\, nar
row multi-bounce\nresonance windows are observed. Within these windows\, p
art of the\nkinetic energy of the kinks is transferred during the first co
llision\ninto vibrational excitations of the kink-antikink system and can\
nsubsequently be transferred back into translational motion. This\nallows
the kink and antikink to escape after two or more collisions\nfor initial
velocities below the critical velocity.\n\nThe structure of the resonance
 windows\, the critical velocities\, and\nthe spectral properties of kink-a
ntikink configurations are analyzed.\nThe numerical results support the re
sonant energy exchange mechanism\nas an explanation for the formation of t
he observed resonance windows.\nIn particular\, the resonance structure ca
n be interpreted in terms of\nenergy exchange between the translational mo
tion of the kinks and\ncollective vibrational modes of the kink-antikink p
 air.\n\nhttps://indico.particle.mephi.ru/event/626/contributions/6459/
