DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Yeghishe Hambardzumyan (MIPT)\nHigh-precision measur
ements of charmonium states in proton-proton collisions at the ALICE exper
iment at LHC necessitate robust electron identification and background sup
pression. A comprehensive analysis of electron identification performance
within the ALICE experiment is presented\, utilizing Run 3 proton-proton c
ollision data at $\\sqrt{s}= 13.6$ TeV. Electron identification is based o
n specific ionization energy loss in the Time Projection Chamber (TPC) in
conjunction with time-of-flight measurements from the TOF detector. A comp
lementary method involving the matching of TPC tracks to electromagnetic c
lusters in the Photon Spectrometer (PHOS) enhances the electron identifica
tion. The efficiency of electron identification is evaluated using the dat
 a-driven tag-and-probe algorithm using $J/\\psi \\to e^+e^-$ decays. Data
from the PHOS detector is used for estimation of residual hadron contamina
tion of the electron sample. The reported electron ID performance is essen
tial for charmonium measurement in ongoing ALICE Run 3 analyses.\n\nhttps:

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Andrei Azhakin (Faculty of Physics\, Lomonosov Mosco
w State University)\nIsotope identification in multilayer silicon detector
s requires joint reconstruction of mass number A and energy E. Different A
–E pairs may yield nearly identical mean profiles\, while deposited-ener
gy fluctuations limit isotope separation. For partially stripped ions\, st
ochastic electron capture and loss alter the charge state and add charge-e
xchange fluctuations\, requiring explicit modeling.\n\nWe developed a Gean
 t4 framework combining GLOBAL capture/loss cross sections\, Mott-corrected
δ-electron production\, and secondary-electron transport in general geom
etries. To our knowledge\, no existing code provides this combination at t
he level of detector energy deposition. MOCADI models charge-state evoluti
on and projectile energy loss in beam lines\, but not deposited energy. We
also developed an N-dimensional likelihood reconstruction of A and E usin
g total deposition and correlated layer profiles. Beyond xenon\, simulatio

)\nThe resonance peak observed by WASA@COSY in the total cross section o
f the reaction of two-pion production in the isoscalar channel of the reac
tion pn → dπ0π0 [1] at invariant mass 2380 MeV with the width of 70 Me
V\, is considered as one of the most realistic candidate to the dibaryon
resonance. The isospin of this resonance is I=0 and spin-parity JP=3+.
A similar resonance structure was observed by ANKE@COSY in the differentia
l cross section of the two-pion production reaction pd → pdππ at beam
energies 0.8-2.0 GeV with high transferred momentum to the deuteron at sma
ll scattering angles of the final proton and deuteron [2]. The kinematic o
f this reaction differ considerably from that in Ref. [1] and two final pi
ons were not registered\, nevertheless in the distribution over the invari
ant mass Mdππ of the final dππ system of the reaction pd → pdππ th
e resonance peak was also observed at Mdππ ≈ 2.38 GeV [2]. In order
to explain these data\, in Refs. [3] the two-resonance model of the reac
tion pn → dπ0π0 [4] was applied by inclusion of the t-channel σ-m
eson exchange between the proton and deuteron in the reaction pd → pdπ
 π. Later\, the reaction γ d→ dπ0π0 was studied in Ref. [5] and an
indication to excitation of isoscalar dibaryon resonance D03(2380) and mo
re heavier dibaryons d* with masses 2470 MeV and 2630 MeV was found. Thes
e resonances \, if they do exist\, can be excited also in the reactions d
d→ dd* and dd→npd* at SPD NICA collider. We estimated [6] the dif
ferential cross sections of the reactions pd → pdππ and dd → dd
ππ assuming excitaion of the D03(2380) dibaryon by σ- meson exchang

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Yulin Wang ()\nThe Multi-Purpose Detector (MPD) at t
he NICA facility is designed to study heavy-ion collisions at $\\sqrt{s_{N
N}}$ = 4-11 GeV\, providing access to the baryon-rich region of the QCD ph
ase diagram. Measurements of strange particles and hyperons are important
for studying particle production mechanisms and the properties of strongly
  interacting matter at high baryon density. In particular\, the $\\Sigma^{
 0}$ hyperon\, reconstructed through its electromagnetic decay $\\Sigma^{0}
  \\rightarrow \\gamma\\Lambda$\, provides a possibility to study hyperon p
roduction as well as the reconstruction of low-energy photons in the MPD e
xperiment.\n\nWe present a feasibility study of $\\Sigma^{0}$ reconstructi
on in Bi+Bi collisions at $\\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 9.2 GeV using full MPD detect
or simulations. $\\Lambda$ candidates are reconstructed through the $\\Lam
bda \\rightarrow p\\pi^{-}$ decay channel\, while photons are reconstructe
d using both the Photon Conversion Method (PCM) and the Electromagnetic Ca
lorimeter (ECal). The reconstruction techniques and performance using PCM
and ECal photons are discussed and compared. The results demonstrate the c

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Aleksandr Svetlichnyi (INR RAS\, MIPT(NRU))\n    T
he difference between the numbers of neutrons and protons in atomic nuclei
defines the isospin asymmetry of nuclei. The squared relative difference
between the local densities of neutrons and protons contributes to the den
sity-dependent symmetry energy term in the equation of state of nuclear ma
tter. In particular\, this contribution makes the nuclei with a large neut
ron excess unstable and defines the parameters of neutron stars [1]. Compa
rative studies of nuclear reactions induced by projectiles with similar ma
ss numbers but differing neutron and proton numbers on the same target all
ow for systematic investigations of isospin asymmetry effects [2]. As foun
d in Ref. [2]\, the cross sections for the production of heavy isotopes ar
e particularly sensitive to the isospin content of projectile nuclei.\n\n
In this work\, the Abrasion-Ablation Monte Carlo for Colliders model
with pre-equilibrium clustering based on the Minimum Spanning Tree algori
thm (AAMCC-MST) [3\,4] was used to study the production of light spectator
fragments. In AAMCC-MST\, the Glauber Monte Carlo model [5] is used to ca
lculate the numbers of participant and spectator nucleons. The latter are
assumed to form spectator prefragments. In particular\, in peripheral coll
isions such prefragments consist of multiple excited nuclear clusters defi
ned by the MST clustering algorithm [3]. Depending on their excitation en
ergy\, the clusters undergo various secondary decays simulated with de-exc
itation models from the Geant4 library [6].\n\n    Fragmentation of rel
ativistic nuclei can be investigated using forward detectors in the Baryon
ic Matter at Nuclotron (BM@N) experiment [7] at the NICA accelerator compl
 ex. Specifically\, light spectator fragments with charges Z = 1–5 from t
he fragmentation of 3.8A GeV $^{124}$Xe on a CsI target can be measured by
the scintillation wall [8]. The potential use of a $^{136}$Xe beam is cur
rently under discussion. Here\, we present a comparative study of light sp
ectator fragment emission in collisions of $^{124}$Xe and $^{136}$Xe with
$^{130}$Xe representing the CsI target. Production cross sections for frag
ments with Z = 1–5 were calculated as a function of collision centrality
. In addition\, the relative yields of spectator protons\, $^{2\,3}$H\, an
d $^{3\,4}$He in the 10 % of most central collisions were calculated to p
robe the isospin content of the fragmenting systems.\n\n\n#References\n1.

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Robert Folkenberg Siro (Moscow Institute of Physics
and Technology)\nSome extensions of the Standard Model (SM) predict the ex
istence of fermions with an electric charge much smaller than that of the
elementary charge. Such particles\, known as millicharged particles (MCP)\
, may be produced in nuclear reactors from the interactions between gamma-
rays and the electrons of reactor materials. In this work\, the MCP flux a
nd energy deposition distributions at Kalinin Nuclear Power Plant (KNPP) a
re presented. The considered experiments\, RED-100 (with a two-phase emiss
ion detector filled with either xenon or argon) and νGeN (with a solid-st
ate germanium detector) were in exposition at KNPP. The proximity of these
experiments to high intensity flux of reactor gamma quanta allows for the
probe of the MCPs by comparing reactor-ON (active reactor) and OFF (react
or shutdown) data. The expected count rates of MCP interaction with electr
ons of the sensitive volumes of the aforementioned detectors are further c
ombined with measured background levels to asses the sensitivity of the ex

lication domains including space science and radiation medicine. For the G
eant4 electro-magnetic physics two new processes we provided: muon pair pr
oduction by relativistic muons\; positron annihilation into 2 or 3 gamma q
uanta considering radiative corrections and formation of a positronium sta
te at rest. The last process is important for simulation of PET tomography
\, in the new model a linear polarization of photons and Doppler broading
are implemented. For prediction of radiation effects in space and for stud
y of radiation therapy we contributed to Geant4-DNA project devoting model
s for protons and ions interaction with liquid water and comparisons of th
ese results with experimental data.\n\nFor hadronic physics of Geant4 a ge
neral method to compute hadronic cross sections was developed based on Gla
uber theory with Gribov corrections and on experimental data. Provided cro
ss sections are applicable to any energy of any hadron. We study and impro

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Viktor Prutyanov (INR RAS)\nSuperFGD [1] is a highly
segmented scintillator neutrino target with a three-dimensional structure
comprising nearly two million scintillator cubes\, each 1 cm on a side. I
t is currently operating as part of the upgraded ND280 near detector [2] a
nd is collecting data from the T2K neutrino beam [3]. Scintillation photon
s produced when a charged particle passes through a scintillator cube are
captured by three mutually orthogonal Kuraray Y-11(200) wavelength-shiftin
g (WLS) fibers and subsequently detected by Hamamatsu S13360-1325PE Multi-
Pixel Photon Counters (MPPCs).\n\nTo ensure a uniform detector response\,
the signal correction must account for attenuation along the WLS fibers as
a function of the distance from the scintillator cube to the MPPC\, as we
ll as for the light-yield (LY) response of individual cubes. For the horiz
ontal X- and Z-oriented fibers\, this distance dependence is determined us
ing cosmic-muon data. Since cosmic muons predominantly traverse SuperFGD a
long directions close to the vertical axis\, their projections onto the ho
rizontal XZ plane are too short to provide sufficient information for cali
brating the vertical Y-oriented fibers. Therefore\, muons produced in inte
ractions of T2K beam neutrinos are used for this purpose. The Y-fiber cali
bration sample consists predominantly of sand muons produced in neutrino i
nteractions in the rock surrounding the detector. Muon candidates are sele
cted using TPC and HA-TPC tracking and particle-identification information
. The selection requires a high-quality track that crosses SuperFGD and or
iginates outside the detector\; the muon momentum is reconstructed using t
he TPC. Muons and stopping protons are also employed to estimate the linea
rity of the relationship between the cube LY and the track chord length wi
thin the cube.\n\nThis work is supported by Russian Science Foundation gra

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Sultan Musin (INR RAS)\nWe present the final results
of our experimental program on the evolution of polarization correlations
of annihilation photons when one of the photons undergoes Compton scatter
ing. The correlation measure of the photon pair is extracted from the meas
ured visibility of azimuthal angular correlations by factoring out the ana
lyzing power of the Compton polarimeters. In our previous work\, the measu
rements covered forward scattering angles up to 35° and backscattering ne
ar 180°. In this work\, we extend the range to include large-angle scatte
ring\, covering the full range of Compton scattering angles. The experimen
tal results are compared with the analytical prediction based on quantum f
ield theory and with the result of Monte Carlo simulations of classically
correlated photons. All descriptions are found to be in agreement with the
data over the full range of scattering angles. The behaviour of polarizat
ion correlations during scattering is identical to that of classical corre
lations up to a constant factor of two\, which is consistent with local qu
antum field theory and does not require "spooky action at a distance." The
se results confirm the latest theoretical predictions and resolve the "dec

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Maxim Martemianov (NRC "Kurchatov Institute")\nThe c
ylindrical electromagnetic calorimeter (ECal) is one of the key subsystem
of the MPD detector having the main goal to search a quark-gluon plasma [1
]. It consists of 50 half-sectors comprising 768 “shashlik”- type cell
s (towers). The towers are truncated pyramids of 64 different types and va
rying orientations. The calibration of individual half-sectors has been co
mpleted now\, which is based on determining the peak position from the ene
rgy deposition of cosmic muon tracks. In the fully assembled half-sectors
all towers are arranged at different orientation relative to the vertical
direction\, so the calibration coefficients slightly depend on the tower's
position [2]. This work presents the results of all half-sector calibrati

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Olga Lychagina (JINR)\nLiquid argon (LAr) detectors
are widely used in modern astroparticle and neutrino physics\, with experi
ments such as DarkSide-20k\, DEAP-3600\, and DUNE relying on their scintil
lation response. A precise characterisation of the energy resolution is es
sential for optimising the sensitivity of these experiments to rare events
\, improving neutrino energy reconstruction\, and lowering detection thres
holds.\n\nIn organic and inorganic scintillators\, a contribution to the e
nergy resolution is observed that cannot be described by photoelectron sta
tistics\, PMT response\, or light collection non-uniformities\, and is ref
erred to as the intrinsic resolution of the scintillation medium. In this
work\, we test whether a similar contribution is present in the energy res
olution of the liquid argon scintillation signal. Using a phenomenological
model that separates independent fluctuation sources\, we extract an effe
ctive parameter that characterises the intrinsic resolution at 1 MeV from
three independent datasets. Afterpulses falling within the PMT signal wind
ow are not accounted for in the statistical term extracted from PMT calibr
ations performed in a short window\, and must therefore be added explicitl
 y. Together with the fluctuations due to photon re-emission at the TPB wav
elength shifter\, these contributions fully account for the extracted para
meter: after their subtraction\, effective parameter is compatible with ze
ro\, and no additional intrinsic component is needed.\n\nThis result holds
consistently across all three datasets. It indicates that the measured en
ergy resolution of LAr scintillation detectors can be described by these c
ontributions alone\, without invoking an intrinsic resolution of the scint
illation medium itself\, in contrast to what is observed in organic and in
organic scintillators. The fluctuations due to photon re-emission at the T
PB wavelength shifter may\, in turn\, provide a key to understanding the l
ine-broadening mechanism observed in organic scintillators. These findings
have direct implications for the interpretation of the energy resolution
in large-scale LAr detectors with light yields of several thousand p.e./Me

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Arseniy Shabanov ()\nThe Baryonic Matter at Nuclotro
 n (BM@N) is a fixed-target experiment (JINR\, Dubna) aimed at studying hea
vy ion collisions at beam energies up to 4 A GeV. To extend its capabiliti
es\, the Highly Granular Neutron Detector (HGND) [1] has been developed. T
his detector will enable unique measurements of neutrons in the kinetic en
ergy range of 0.3–4.0 GeV. These measurements will make it possible to e
xplore the isospin term of the equation of state (EOS) of baryonic matter.
The HGND comprises two arms\, each consisting of 8 layers of plastic scin
tillator with copper absorber plates in between. Each scintillation layer
is assembled from an 11×11 matrix of individual cells\, providing high sp
atial granularity and a time resolution of ~150 ps.\n\nAs an observable se

d proton spectra was proposed [2]. To determine the experimental sensitivi
ty\, Monte Carlo simulations of Xe+Cs collisions were performed. The simul
ations were done using the SMASH [3] model at a beam kinetic energy of 2.5

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Aleksandr Zubankov (INR RAS)\nThe development of a H
ighly Granular Time-of-Flight Neutron Detector (HGND) for measuring neutro
n yields and flow in the 0.3-4 GeV kinetic energy range in nuclear collisi
ons at the BM@N experiment is almost finished. To validate the concept of
the full-scale HGND\, a compact HGND prototype was tested in 3.8A GeV 124X
e collisions with a CsI target in the BM@N experiment in 2022. The prototy
pe was positioned at an angle of 0 degrees to the undeflected beam axis in
order to measure the yields of spectator neutrons resulting from hadronic
interactions of nuclei\, as well as the yields of neutrons resulting from
electromagnetic dissociation (EMD) of projectile nuclei [2].\n\nDespite t
he high neutron detection efficiency and relatively good time resolution o
f the HGND prototype of approximately 270 ps\, it is insufficient for meas
uring high-energy neutrons. The measured neutron kinetic energy spectra\,
reconstructed using the time-of-flight method\, are significantly smeared
due to the contribution of the time resolution. In order to restore the tr
ue neutron kinetic energy spectrum from the distorted reconstructed spectr
um\, an unfolding procedure was used [3]. This method of spectrum reconstr
uction uses the measured kinetic energy spectrum as input data\, as well a
s the detector response matrix and background estimations obtained through
the detector response simulation in the complete geometry of the BM@N set
up using the DCM-QGSM-SMM and UrQMD-AMC models as event generators. An int
ercomparison of the various unfolding methods implemented in the RooUnfold
framework for reconstructing the neutron spectrum was conducted.\n\nThis
approach allows the measurement of double-differential inclusive cross sec
tions of forward neutron emission as a function of rapidity and solid angl
e even with limited time resolution. In order to validate the approach\, m
easurements of neutrons from EMD were performed\, as these neutrons are ch
aracterised by a very narrow energy distribution\, centred around the proj
ectile beam energy [4].\n\nReferences\n\n 1. S. Morozov et al.\, Nucl. Ins

he result was compared with single-particle distorted-wave impulse-approxi

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Amaresh Datta (JINR)\nInterpretation of the spin obs

ing ($pp$ and $pn$) amplitudes. These quantities can be extracted from the
asymmetries in the polarized $pd$ collisions. At the SPD\, although the a

be accessed via the quasi-elastic scattering $dd \\rightarrow npd$ from th

provide a very clean environment for studies of Higgs boson parameters. W

report presents the latest results and analysis strategy for the search f
or Higgs boson decays into dark matter (DM) particles using data collected
during Runs 1 and 2 of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The search is int
erpreted within Higgs-portal models\, in which the Higgs boson provides a
connection between the Standard Model and the dark sector. Upper limits on
the Higgs boson branching fraction to invisible final states are derived
at a 95% confidence level\, assuming the Standard Model Higgs boson produc
tion cross section. The obtained limits represent the most stringent const
raints from the ATLAS and CMS experiments at the LHC to date. These values
from the ATLAS experiment are compared with the results of direct search
experiments.\n\nThe prospects for extending the ATLAS search using data co
llected during the initial period of LHC Run 3 are also discussed\, with p
articular emphasis on the expected sensitivity to invisible Higgs boson de
 cays.\n\nhttps://indico.particle.mephi.ru/event/626/contributions/6178/
