DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Valery Troshin (JINR\, MEPhI)\nIn heavy-ion collisio
ns at a beam energy of 3.8A GeV\, a dense baryonic medium is formed in the
nuclear overlap zone. The anisotropic flow of produced particles provides
insight into the transport properties and equation of state (EoS) of stro
ngly interacting matter. This contribution presents preliminary results on
the directed flow ($v_1$) of protons and deuterons in Xe+Cs(I) collisions

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Dmitry Ivanishchev (NRC «Kurchatov Institute» - PN
PI\, SPbPU)\nThe study of nuclear matter formed in relativistic heavy-ion
collisions is one of the key tasks in high-energy physics. In addition to
the quark-gluon plasma produced in such colliding systems\, the hadron gas
phase that represents the final stage of the collision is of particular i
nterest. Investigation of resonance production in relativistic heavy-ion c
ollisions serves as a primary tool for analyzing this hadronic phase. Due
to their short lifetimes\, resonances act as indicators of the dynamic equ
ilibrium between rescattering and regeneration processes. Furthermore\, th
eir production allows for the investigation of a wide range of physical ef
fects\, such as the possible restoration of chiral symmetry\, strangeness
enhancement\, baryon anomaly at intermediate transverse momenta\, flavor d
ependence of parton energy loss at high momenta\, and others. Currently\,
the most intriguing region of the QCD matter phase diagram\, where the cri
tical point and a first-order phase transition are expected to be discover
ed\, lies within the area of high net-baryon densities and moderate temper
 atures (at √sNN = 2-15 GeV). The Nuclotron-based Ion Collider fAcility (
NICA)\, a superconducting proton and heavy-ion collider under construction
at JINR (Dubna)\, along with the Multi-Purpose Detector (MPD) experiment\
, is specifically aimed at exploring this region by studying the nuclear m
edium formed in relativistic heavy-ion collisions at low temperatures and
high net-baryon densities. According to the current schedule\, some of the
first runs at the NICA accelerator complex will involve xenon nucleus (Xe
) collisions with a fixed tungsten (W) target at an incident beam kinetic
energy of Ekin = 2.5A GeV. In this work\, the feasibility of the MPD detec
tor operating in the fixed-target mode to measure the characteristics of m
eson resonances was investigated. The study was performed for Xe+W collisi
ons at an energy of 2.5 GeV/nucleon. Since the MPD detector is currently i
n its preparation phase for commissioning\, all processes from the initial
nuclear collision to the detector response were reproduced using Monte Ca
rlo simulations. Based on the results of this work\, the acceptance region
s in rapidity\, transverse momentum\, and event centrality accessible for
physics analysis were determined.\n\nWe acknowledge support from Russian M

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Igor Pshenichnov (INR RAS\, MIPT(NRU))\nIn 2025\, da
ta on $^{16}$O–$^{16}$O and $^{20}$Ne–$^{20}$Ne collisions were collec
ted at the LHC for the first time. Unlike in the LHC runs with $^{208}$Pb
beams conducted since 2010\, a significant fraction of spectator fragments
emitted in collisions of light isospin-symmetric nuclei\, such as $^{16}$
O and $^{20}$Ne\, also have equal numbers of neutrons and protons. Consequ
ently\, these fragments exhibit magnetic rigidity similar to that of beam
nuclei. As the transverse momenta of spectator fragments are expected to b
e close to the nominal beam momentum\, such $2Z=A$ secondary nuclei may ci
rculate in the LHC. This poses a challenge for tuning the collider beam op
tics to suppress the circulation of $2Z=A$ fragments\, in order to prevent
their collisions with beam nuclei and reduce contamination of the $^{16}$
O–$^{16}$O and $^{20}$Ne–$^{20}$Ne data due to beam transmutation [1].
 \n\nThe cross sections of production of $^2$H\, $^4$He\, $^{6}$Li\, $^{10}
 $B\, $^{12}$C\, and $^{14}$N spectator fragments in $^{16}$O–$^{16}$O we
re estimated [2] with the Abrasion-Ablation Monte Carlo for Colliders mod
el with pre-equlibrium Minimum Spanning Tree clustering (AAMCC-MST) [3].
While contamination of $^{16}$O–$^{16}$O data is considered negligible b
ased on recently collected data [4]\, this has not yet confirmed for $^{2
0}$Ne–$^{20}$Ne collisions.\n\nWe report the results of AAMCC-MST modell
ing of the production of spectator neutrons\, protons\, as well as $^2$H\,
  $^4$He\, $^{6}$Li\, $^{10}$B\, $^{12}$C\, $^{14}$N\, $^{16}$O\, and $^{18
 }$F fragments in $^{20}$Ne–$^{20}$Ne collisions at $\\sqrt{s_{NN}}=5.36$
TeV. Prior to simulating $^{20}$Ne fragmentation at the LHC\, we validat
 ed AAMCC-MST using data on fragmentation of $\\sim 0.4A$–5$A$ GeV $^{20}
$Ne and $^{22}$Ne projectiles in nuclear emulsion and on elemental targets
[5\,6]. Three density profiles for $^{20}$Ne and $^{22}$Ne were employed
 : a deformed Woods–Saxon\, a five–$\\alpha$ bi-pyramidal configuration
\, and a spherical profile for $^{20}$Ne. Calculations were also performed
with and without MST clustering. Comparisons of results obtained with dif
ferent calculation options demonstrate the sensitivity to both the details
of the nuclear structure of $^{20\,22}$Ne and the fragmentation modelling
.\n\nIn all previous studies of neon fragmentation\, neither protons nor n
eutrons were registered. The data on spectator neutrons and protons from $
^{20}$Ne–$^{20}$Ne collisions collected by the ALICE Zero Degree Calorim
eters (ZDC) [7] will provide a unique opportunity to study fragmentation o
f isospin-symmetric $^{20}$Ne. Following validation of fragmentation model
s with these new data\, new methods of luminosity monitoring and centralit
y determination for collisions of light nuclei can be developed with invol
 ving both neutron and proton ZDCs.\n\nReferences\n\n[1] G. Nijs\, W. van d

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Anna Kulikovskaya (NRC Kurchatov Institute)\nMomentu
m distributions of light fragments produced in asymmetric fission in heav
y ion collisions provide information on reaction dynamics and breakup mech
anisms of spectator systems. At small emission angles relative to the beam
direction and with high momentum resolution\, energy spectra of light fra
gments exhibit a double-humped structure contrary to the Gaussian profile
expected in usually accepted statistical approach. This effect has been se
en in two experiments only [1\,2]. This report presents results on the fra
gmentation of iron nuclei into light fragments at the energy of 230 MeV/nu
cleon measured in the FRAGM experiment at the TWAC heavy ion accelerator c
omplex [1\,3]. It is shown that the measured momentum spectra exhibit this
effect and it is most pronounced for protons and tends to diminish for he
avier fragments. Furthermore\, it is demonstrated that the observation of
this effect in both mentioned above experiments can be explained within th
e framework of certain nucleus-nucleus interaction models which take into
account the Coulomb interaction.\n\n[1] B. M. Abramov et al.\, EPJ Web Con

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Anastasiia Vasilieva (National Research Nuclear Univ
ersity MEPhI)\nHadron transverse momentum ($p_{T}$) spectra serve as a sen
sitive probe of matter produced in relativistic nuclear collisions\, with
statistical frameworks being widely used to extract its thermodynamic para
meters. Despite extensive research into particle production across a wide
range of collision energies\, of particular interest is a detailed analysi
s of $p_{T}$ spectra under the conditions of the Spin Physics Detector (SP
 D) experiment at the NICA collider. To address this\, the current study pr
esents generator-level results on hadron $p_{T}$ spectra in O+O\, Kr+Kr\,
and Xe+Xe collisions at $\\sqrt{s_{NN}} = 6$ GeV. Events are simulated usi
ng two transport approaches: the Ultrarelativistic Quantum Molecular Dynam
ics (UrQMD) and the Simulating Many Accelerating Strongly-interacting Hadr
ons (SMASH) models. The calculated $p_{T}$ distributions are analyzed with
in the framework of non-extensive Tsallis statistics. The phenomenological
Tsallis distribution is fitted to the charged hadron spectra from both ge
nerators. Furthermore\, the analysis of the UrQMD events is extended to in
clude identified hadron spectra\, for which the fit is performed using the
exact $p_{T}$ distribution of the Tsallis-3 statistics. The study provide
s a comparison of the results on charged hadron spectra between the UrQMD
and SMASH models. The dependence of the extracted parameters on centrality
and system size is presented for both charged and identified hadrons. For
the identified particles\, the parameters are further examined across dif
ferent species. The obtained results may be relevant for future experiment

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Victor Riabov (PNPI\, MEPHI)\nThe Multi-Purpose Dete
ctor (MPD) at NICA is primarily designed for collider experiments at $\\sq
 rt{s_{NN}} = 4–11$ GeV. A recently proposed program of fixed-target expe
riments extends its research potential\, allowing for the investigation of
dense baryonic matter in ion collisions at lower center-of-mass energies
$\\sqrt{s_{NN}} = 2.4–3.5$ GeV. Running in the fixed-target mode require
s a careful revision of the MPD efficiency for event triggering\, as well
as its performance in particle reconstruction and identification\, momentu
m resolution and geometric acceptance.\n\nIn this report\, we present a re
view of the physics performance of the MPD operating in the fixed-target m
ode\, including the results of physics feasibility studies for measuring a
wide range of physics observables in Xe+W collisions at $\\sqrt{s_{NN}} =
2.87$ GeV. The reconstruction of identified charged and neutral light had
rons\, strange mesons and baryons\, short-lived resonances\, and light nuc

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Konstantin Mikhaylov (ITEP\, JINR)\nDue to quantum s
tatistical effects and final-state interactions\, momentum correlations be
tween two or more particles emitted with small relative velocities (or\, e
quivalently\, small relative momenta in their center-of-mass system) provi
de a sensitive tool for probing the spatiotemporal characteristics of part
icle-production processes at femtometer scales (10^−15 m). Kaons are par
ticularly valuable for studying Bose–Einstein correlations because they
are less affected by resonance decays than more abundantly produced pions
and\, therefore\, provide a more direct probe of the properties of the pri
mary particle-emitting source created in high-energy collisions. Combined
with femtoscopic measurements of pions and protons\, kaon correlations als
o offer important information about the collective dynamics and evolution
of strongly interacting matter. We report on the results of the femtoscop
ic analysis of Bose–Einstein correlations of charged kaons in p–Pb
and Pb–Pb collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV with the ALICE detector. Both
measurements show that the extracted source radii increase with charged-pa
rticle multiplicity and decrease with increasing pair transverse momentum.
This behavior is characteristic of space–momentum correlations associa
ted with collective expansion and can be described within hydrodynamic mod
els. The time of maximum kaon emission is determined through a three-dimen
sional femtoscopic analysis for both collision systems. The value obtained
in p-Pb collisions is comparable to that observed in highly peripheral Pb
–Pb collisions\, suggesting that the evolution of kaon emission is simil
ar in p–Pb and peripheral Pb–Pb collisions. The EPOS-3 hadronic intera
ction model reproduces the measured source sizes in p–Pb collisions reas
onably well\, except for an underestimation of the source size in the most
central collisions. For the Pb–Pb data\, the integrated hydrokinetic mo

particle momentum\, thereby providing sensitivity to collective expansion
and freeze-out dynamics. The intermediate collision-energy region is parti
cularly important\, as it bridges the high-energy\, low-baryon-density reg
ime and the baryon-rich matter produced at lower energies\, offering an op
portunity to study how the space-time evolution of the system changes with
collision energy. Comparing different particle species\, in particular pi
ons and kaons\, provides additional constraints because of their different
masses\, production mechanisms\, and contributions from resonance decays.
\n\nWe present a systematic femtoscopic study of identical charged pion an
d kaon pairs in Au+Au collisions at $\\sqrt{s_{\\mathrm{NN}}}=14.6$ and $1
9.6$ GeV simulated with the EPOS4 model. Three-dimensional two-particle co

toscopic parameters are extracted as functions of collision centrality and
pair transverse momentum\, $k_{\\mathrm{T}}$\, for both pion and kaon pai

nHigher-order multiplicity fluctuations can reveal features of particle pr
oduction that are not accessible through variances and two-particle correl
ations alone. Their interpretation\, however\, is complicated by fluctuati
ons in the number of particle-emitting sources. We develop a systematic co
nstruction of strongly intensive observables that remove this dependence w
ithin the independent-source model.\n\nStarting from the relations between
the joint cumulants of observed multiplicities\, the emission properties
of a single source\, and the source-number distribution\, we construct ind
ependent combinations at successive orders. We discuss their normalization
relative to independent particle production\, extending the approach used
for the second-order quantities Sigma and Delta. Particular attention is
paid to the fourth-order observable Upsilon and its relation to other inde
pendent combinations at the same order. The study establishes the conditio
ns under which source-number fluctuations cancel and explores the addition
al information carried by higher-order strongly intensive observables.\n\n

v@spbsu.ru\nHigh-order cumulants of event-by-event multiplicity distributi
ons are widely used in the search for the QCD critical point in relativist
ic heavy-ion collisions. Their sensitivity to non-Gaussian fluctuations [1
] makes them promising observables [2]\, but at the same time they can be
strongly affected by non-critical background effects\, in particular by vo
lume fluctuations and by the procedure of centrality class selection[3].\n
\nIn this work\, we study these effects using a simple toy Monte Carlo mod
el of nucleus-nucleus collisions. The collision geometry is described thro
ugh the impact parameter and the corresponding number of participant nucle
ons. Particle multiplicity is generated as a superposition of elementary n
ucleon-nucleon sources. In the first version of the model\, the elementary
source is assumed to be Gaussian. We show that even in this case nonzero
third- and fourth-order cumulants can appear after selecting events by fin
al-state multiplicity\, due to the admixture of events with different coll
ision geometry and different effective volume.\n\nThe model is then extend
ed to the inclusion of non-Gaussian elementary sources. This allows us to
compare two different contributions to high-order cumulants: the intrinsic
non-Gaussianity of particle production -- in case of proximity to the c
ritical point\, and trivial contribution caused by the volume fluctuation
 s. Special attention is paid to the comparison of multiplicity-based event
-by-event selection of narrow classes of participating nucleons (Npart).
\n\nThe results demonstrate that the measured values of high-order cumulan
ts may be significantly distorted by centrality and volume fluctuations ev
en in the absence of critical dynamics. Therefore\, careful control of the
initial geometry and the use of narrow classes of the number of Npart and
relevant reduced cumulants are essential for separating possible critical
 -point signals from the non-critical background contributions.\n\n \nThe a

At the beginning of the 21st century\, a new phase of strongly interacting

o study QGP formation in\nheavy-ion collisions\, the solution of system of

EoS) is typically employed. In light of difficulties for non-zero baryonic
potentials within Lattice QCD\, various holographic models based on the A
dS/CFT duality have been proposed to obtain the QGP EoS from the thermodyn
amic properties of a corresponding black brane in AdS$_5$ [2].\n\nIn this
work\, we discuss possible phenomenological approach for incorporating not
only\nthe baryon chemical potential but also the quantum numbers of stran
geness and charge into holographic thermodynamics. The method proposed emp

the definition for the full chemical potential\, which behaves like a had
