Description
Neutrino oscillations, baryon asymmetry of the Universe and dark matter phenomena can be explained by introducing just three new majorana fermions to the Standard Model. Here we discuss the sterile neutrino dark matter: production mechanisms in the early Universe suggested by minimalistic models, searches by X-ray telescopes of peaks due to neutrino radiative decays, specific impacts on the formation of cosmic large scale structure. Recent studies indicate that the most effective production requires large flavor lepton asymmetries in the primordial plasma which can be accompanied by pion condensate and thus modify the standard picture of the QCD transition.
