Description
High-energy astrophysical neutrinos can provide a probe of hadronic processes at their production site constraining models of the most energetic cosmic ray sources. The diffuse astrophysical neutrino flux was discovered by the IceCube experiment more than a decade ago but still remains largely unexplored. After the deployment campaign in 2026, the Baikal-GVD neutrino telescope has reached the detection volume of 0.8 km3 and it is planned to further expand it to 1km3 in the next two-three years. Meanwhile the detector joins the study of the origins of high-energy cosmic neutrinos with the data accumulated at the construction phase. In present report we discuss the status and recent physics results of Baikal-GVD among them are the measurement of the diffuse astrophysical neutrino flux and neutrino source searches.
