Description

Understanding the properties of strongly interacting matter, particularly the equation of state in the high net-baryon density regime, remains a central goal of relativistic heavy-ion collision physics. Directed flow serves as a powerful probe of the pressure gradients in the evolving system. Light clusters, such as deuterons, are expected to exhibit enhanced sensitivity compared to protons due to their composite nature. Moreover, the production mechanism of light nuclei (e.g., coalescence) and their sensitivity to nucleon dynamics may imprint distinct signatures on the observed flow signals .
In this talk, the results will be reported on the measurement of deuteron directed flow in Xe+Cs(I) collisions at a beam kinetic energy of 3.8A GeV, collected with the BM@N experiment at the Nuclotron/NICA facility. The directed flow will be presented as a function of rapidity in the center-of-mass system, transverse momentum, and collision centrality. The slope of v1 at mid-rapidity is extracted and compared with existing world data from lower and higher energies, including measurements from AGS and STAR.
