Description

The directed flow ($v_{1}$) of protons is one of the important observables sensitive to the Equation of State (EoS) of strongly interacting matter produced in relativistic heavy-ion collisions. Detailed differential measurements of protons have been obtained from the analysis of the first physics data of the BM@N experiment for Xe+Cs(I) collisions at a beam energy of 3.8A GeV. Because directed flow depends strongly on the collision geometry, the underlying impact parameter is routinely deduced from experimental data via centrality determination. In this work, we investigate the influence of the centrality determination method on the measurements of the directed flow of protons in the BM@N experiment.
