Description

The Baikal-GVD neutrino telescope is situated in Lake Baikal at depths of $750$ – $1275$ m. Its current instrumented volume is $0.8$ km$^{3}$, and it is being expanded toward $1$ km$^{3}$. Baikal-GVD is capable of detecting neutrinos in TeV-PeV energy range, including those of astrophysical origin. Previously Baikal-GVD has demonstrated an observation of astrophysical neutrino flux in the cascade detection channel. Present work focuses on development of likelihood-based analysis technique aimed at the diffuse astrophysical neutrino flux search using muon track detection channel. Preliminary results on its sensitivity analysis are presented.
