Description
The Monte Carlo event generators HYDJET and HYDJET++ are widely used to simulate high-energy heavy-ion collisions. This study compares their predictions with LHC measurements in Pb-Pb collisions at the LHC Run 3 energy 5.36 TeV in c.m.s. per nuclear pair. Charged-particle pseudorapidity spectra and multiplicity as a function of collision centrality are investigated. It is found that both HYDJET++ with its default tune and HYDJET with the special tune reproduce the experimental data well at LHC energies.
