Description
A modernization of the temperature control system for the M31 spectrometric magnet of the SPASCHARM experiment at the U-70 accelerator is presented. The transition to a multitasking architecture based on FreeRTOS, together with the use of EPICS, is aimed at improving the modularity, versatility, and scalability of the slow control system. The new architecture enables independent execution of measurement and communication functions and facilitates the addition of further measurement channels. As part of the system upgrade, a second branch of temperature sensors was implemented, doubling the number of monitored channels and providing complete temperature monitoring of the magnet windings.
