Description
In heavy-ion collisions at a beam energy of 3.8A GeV, a dense baryonic medium is formed in the nuclear overlap zone. The anisotropic flow of produced particles provides insight into the transport properties and equation of state (EoS) of this strongly interacting matter. This contribution reports preliminary results on the directed flow ($v_{1}$) of protons in Xe+Cs(I) collisions at 3.8A GeV, obtained with the BM@N experiment. The directed flow is studied as a function of centrality, rapidity, and transverse momentum. The results are compared with available world data and their role in constraining the EoS of dense baryonic matter is discussed.
