Description

Integrated Circuits are one of the important elements of detector system. A number of factors make ICs obligatory for Particle Physics and Astrophysics experiments. These are: integration scale, low power dissipation, radiation tolerance. Today chips should provide new level of functionality, fitting to a new set of constraints and trade-offs. The talk presents overview of the state of the art and trends in nowadays chip design. It shows a next stage of micro- and nanoelectronics usage at physical instrumentation.
