Description

This work is devoted to the restoration of the KALIF-8 automated test bench for evaluating the characteristics of photomultiplier tubes of various sizes. During the work, cable lines were replaced, the electronics were updated, and the main components of the measurement system were calibrated. The software for centralized control of the test bench was configured.
During the experimental studies, the main parameters of the reference photomultiplier tube were measured, including gain, linearity range, timing and noise characteristics. To verify the reliability of the results, a comparison was carried out with measurements obtained using an independent test bench. The operability and metrological suitability of the developed system for large-scale calibration of photomultiplier tubes prior to their installation in detectors were demonstrated.
