Description
The High-Granularity Neutron Detector (HGND) is a new detector system in the BM@N experiment at the Nuclotron (JINR, Dubna), designed for the identification and measurement of neutron energies produced in nucleus-nucleus collisions at energies up to 4 AGeV. This talk covers progress in pre-production verification and performance studies of the full-scale active layers of the detector, as well as preparation for detector deployment. The presented data cover the timing resolution of the production version of the active layer measured with cosmic particles and an electron accelerator beam.
